At Wedge, sustainability has always been at the core of who we are. As co-founders, Alon and Shay, our shared commitment to sustainability has driven us from the beginning.
The idea for Wedge sparked when Shay realized the challenges of buying sustainable clothes. It was a frustrating and time-consuming process. Determined to make a difference, we delved into the world of sustainable fashion, consulting experts, speaking with brands and designers, and listening to the concerns of consumers.
Through these conversations, we discovered the difficulties consumers face in finding sustainable fashion and their desire for transparency and personalization. We realized that brands struggled to effectively communicate their sustainability efforts to consumers.
Driven by this insight, we founded Wedge to bridge the gap between conscious consumers and sustainable fashion brands. Our platform simplifies the search for sustainable fashion, empowering individuals to make informed choices that align with their values.
A “wedge of geese” is a group of geese flying in a tight pattern, a V-Shape. Each bird flies slightly above the bird in front of them, reducing wind resistance. The birds take turns in the front, falling back when they get tired. This makes it easy to keep track of every bird in the group. When one bird gets tired or sick, two other geese fly to support it from both its wings. This way, the wedge can fly, covering huge distances. This is the only way to achieve real change.
